Little by Little
She accomplished a lot.
Little by Little… she accomplished a lot!
“Little by little she accomplished a lot” is the mantra of my life. This mantra motivated me through tough moments during my childhood and still supports me today in my adulthood. Growing up, I developed in what most would call a “troubled home”, leading to me carrying low self esteem and believing very little in myself at a young age. I was bullied, living in poverty, and had an estranged family. As I grew older, I began looking at the lifestyles I was surrounded by and declared I wanted more for myself. Somewhere deep down, there was a part of me that knew I was worth more than what I was seeing, even if I wasn’t aware on the surface. So, I set goals and reminded myself daily that I was worthy of accomplishing them. I used this mantra throughout high school and college whenever I became frustrated during the process of achieving my goals. It became my theme song while recovering from challenging breakups, regaining my sobriety and rebuilding my body after a deep, dark depressive timeline. This mantra still inspires me on a regular basis to keep showing up for myself and I hope it becomes one for others too. We all have dreams we’d like to live, the first step is believing we can and are worthy of it. If you’re having trouble remembering those two things, then allow this to be your reminder that you are, indeed, both of those things. Little by Little we find ourselves there. May you remember your power, allow yourself to be seen, and share what you came to share with confidence, wholeness, and sincerity. You deserve it.
With love,

What does the life of your dreams look like?
My name is Kala and when I vision the life of my dreams I see myself waking up each day feeling clear and secure in all aspects of my life. I am living my passions, inspiring others, and sharing my arts and wisdom with the world.
If only it were that easy, right? Truthfully, I am living the life of my dreams because I carved a pathway for it to be so. I created this life through my decisions, intentions, beliefs, and discipline (or as my friend, Awen, calls it ~ Blissipline). You see, I grew up in a lower poverty household in a small town in northeast Mississippi. I was raised by my mother and my grandparents and I was pretty blessed to be living on a farm. I played amongst the trees and the bees with snowy winters and hot summers and cool water hoses. Aside from abusive step-fathers and addicted/alcoholic family members, I had a pretty good childhood with privileges and blessing I choose to honor and be thankful for. I share all of this with you because that strong, healthy, happy woman you see standing in the picture above was once an abused, bullied and confused child who saw the life she was witnessing and knew she desired more. This beautiful young woman you see above also took part in harmful substance abuse and addiction patterns, as well. Then after meeting my rock bottom, I took a look at my life again and knew I deserved to give myself more. So, little by Little, that is what I do. Anyone else feel they are in familiar boats? It’s okay if you are. In fact, hop aboard if you’d like to because my hope for this ride is to remind all Beings that they are worthy of the life they dream of and to awaken the spark to do so. Little by Little, let’s all accomplish a lot.
Love,
