Are you with me?

I am doing a 30-day movement challenge starting January 1st! Would you like to join me?

2024 taught me a few valuable lessons:

  1. Preparation leads to better results.
No brainer, right? But you’d be surprised how many times I’ve bravely jumped into things without carefully planning every step. I’m an adventurous spirit, but I’ve learned it’s better to slow down, think things through, and prepare.

  2. Build a strong, trustworthy support system.
The better your team, the further you’ll go. Having at least one person you can count on to problem-solve with can make all the difference when things get tough. The more people you connect with in your area of interest, the more knowledge, encouragement, and confidence you’ll gain.

  3. Prioritize daily movement.
This one is the most important. Make time to move your body in healthy ways every single day—whether it’s 5 minutes, 15, 30, or more. Stretch, exercise, dance, hike, walk, run, lift weights, swim, or climb—any kind of healthy movement counts.

It’s so easy to shut down when we’re stressed. We tell ourselves we “don’t have time,” but there’s always time. Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day, and we make time for what we prioritize. The 30 minutes it takes to doom scroll is the same amount of time it takes to pull up a YouTube video and follow a quick workout.

I fell out of my movement routine when I was deep in the early stages of starting my career. My body quickly protested—I ached when I walked, when I sat, and my neck burned from sitting so much. I knew better. As a massage therapist of 10 years, I’ve seen firsthand how important movement is.

Thankfully, I snapped back into a routine, working out with a great friend who inspires me to challenge myself in healthy ways. I’ve been feeling better and better ever since!

As I set my goals for 2025, I’m taking these lessons with me and starting the year with a 30-day yoga challenge. I’ll be practicing yoga every day and documenting my progress.

You want to join me? Comment “I’m in!” if you’re joining me. :)
